Topic: Oral health and dementia. Is tooth loss an important factor for cognitive decline?

Kevin Rafferty completed his training as a dental Prosthetist at the Royal Dental Hospital Melbourne in 1983 and went straight into private practice.

Some of Kevin’s additional experience includes research and testing of dental materials at Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA), coordinator of dental programs at Holmesglen Institute, and a lecturer at La Trobe University Faculty of Dental Science. Kevin is currently on the panel assisting the Australian Dental Council with site evaluations of dental prosthetists programs.

Due to his interest in special needs dentistry, Kevin completed a Diploma of Dementia Care from University of Tasmania in November 2023.

Kevin is an ADPA member has been involved with the association for many years serving on various committees.
